Any hints on replacing the pull cord on a Brigs and Stratton mower. I attached the new cord but the coil spring keeps unwinding when I replace the housing. Is there a trick to keeping the spring in place?

Make sure the tab is seated properly. I've used a piece of duct tape to hold it in place until it's seated on the shaft. Then take the tape off after it's installed.
