  • crumbling concrete

My driveway is slowly, and I mean very slowly, crumbling. It's over 30 years old and has several cracks running through it and lots of little holes where stones have worked it's way out. The driveway will be fine for years to come but I plan on living in this house for the next 30-40 years, so I want to stop the deteriation now. Any suggestions? I tried crack sealant this morning, but the cracks seemed unfillable. Do I need to resurface the whole thing and if so, what do I use?

Is it worth cutting the bad sections of concrete out and replacing it with new concrete? That is what we are going to have to do. They make square cuts in the concrete and remove the old sections, then pour new concrete to replace it. It is expensive because they replace whole sections instead of spots, but will last a lot longer.

Or is it that it is crumbling everywhere?
