Recessed light - space between trim and ceiling, how to fix this problem?

  • #2
if the sheetrock work was done professionally there will be no space between the can and the ceiling "rock" the trim plate [i.e. - bezel] fits by means of two spring clips inside the can and holds it against the finished ceiling. the inside lip of the bezel goes inside the can. if you have a space between the can and the "rock" use some mud or plaster of paris to seal the gap. plaster of paris sets up rock hard so be careful with it.

Very often you can adjust the cover. :Look up inside the recessed can and see if there are two little wing nuts and a slot.
Little about a lot and a lot about a little.
