Water won't drain Frigidaire PrecisionSelect Dishwasher

I think there is a clog but don't know if this is a DIY thing or should I call a professional in. The water wont drain and the Washing light just flashes green.

    Red face Model number?

    Frigidaire Precision Select Dishwasher
I'm afraid that is not enough information to identify the appliance in question. What is needed is its exact model number. If you post it we can at least look it up to see what appliance design you're dealing with to try to answer your question.

Also, does the machine make any sounds when it should be draining?

    Frigidaire FDB1100RHC - Precision Select

Okay I didn't realize that. The machine is not making any noises and is plugged into power, I removed the top drain cover and there was a little junk in there but not anything major. My husband thinks its the motor? We're in Brooklyn, NY.

It is not making any sounds when it should be draining or ever??

That model has a separate electrically driven pump for draining (see the following link). If the problem was just draining, that pump may be defective or not getting power... for whatever reason. Someone might need to confirm whether it was or not in that case.
