  • Gas range replacement knobs

    Hi,
I'm trying to find stainless steel knobs to replace the crappy plastic ones (that melted) on my GE gas range model # jgbp88semss.

I refuse to replace with the plastic ones -the only thing the parts department at GE has to offer

I've looked around on the net and it's hard to tell if any other makers will fit. Anyone have a suggestion (other than "borrowing" some from a floor model to see if they fit
    Thanks!!

try the site: REPAIR CLINIC dot com. they have original parts and maybe they can cross reference you to metal replacements.

Take an existing knob to the store and compare them there??

I don't recall seeing any ranges that use metal knobs lately. If you do find a model with useable metal knobs, get that range's model number to order knobs for it.

BTW metal knobs can get hotter than plastic and depending on the design of your model, that might be problematic.
