  • Cracked concrete

Hi all, i have a concrete square in front of my house between the side walk and front door. It has a nice chunk taken out of it. Should i be able to just throw a thin layer of quickrete on top to fix this or is there a better idea. You could say its an oval that is about .5 inches deep, 4 feet long and about 1 foot wide.

You could BUT you will need to apply a coat of bond crete first (of course after cleaning the area down with a diluted acid).
Do you live in a freeze area ? Cause this may dictate just how long a life you get out of patching.

well that sounds like more work than needed. its mostly cosmetic.... do you have any suggestions as to what the quickest and easiest way to make it look new again?

It's really not that much work, either wash it down with a mild acid or power wash it, then paint on the bond crete to the bad area then apply the skim coat. Should take a couple of hours in total.

There isn't any other way of doing the repair....sorry
