  • PVC Stuck in irrigation backflow breaker

Hi everyone. So this past winter, we had a way early cold snap and it killed my pressure breaker. No big deal, i bought the little repair kit thinking that was the problem. When i went to go install it, i had noticed that the pvc from the house was cracked. It would not move. I tried belt wrench and everythign, and what ended up happening was that it broke off, mostly inside the pipe. The question I have now is, what is the best way to get this stuck pvc out of this breaker without ruining the threads of the breaker? Not sure why it flipped these photos around.

    Pvc

Use a torch and gently heat the fitting. The PVC should soften enough so you can just peel the pvc out of the fitting. Buy two new adapters and re-assmble your joint. Use teflon on the adapters.
