    Steel vs Aluminum deck balusters

Are there any major differences between 18 ga powder coated galvanized steel or 18 ga powder coated aluminum deck balusters as far as durability or upkeep.

Steel your not going to bend if they get kicked, although your going to have to hit aluminum hard to do any damage. If it were me I'd be going the aluminum just cause there is never a chance of rust etc....

Steel... think about it if you are weed eating or mowing neat it or kids with yard toys but also aluminum will last longer

If their weeds are around the deck balustrades then they probably need to spend more time worrying about the weeds then steel or aluminum balustrades.

18 ga powder coated aluminum deck is the better option

Its solid , rust free and long lasting.
