  • Kitchen counter repair

I have a nice laminate kitchen counter top that has about 1 inch strip of back splash underneath a window, just behind the sink. There is a 5 inch tall back splash on either side of the window.

That 1 inch strip has started to bow out, likely from getting wet.

Any suggestion on repairing or replacing this strip? It is about 1 inch tall by 36 inches long.

It cannot be repaired and replacement will depend on a few factors.
    1. Is it all one piece connected with the 5" splash on either side ?....If yes then the entire length of back splash will need to be removed and new laminate installed.
    2. If it's a small piece and not attached to either side 5" splash ?....then simply remove the damaged section and have a counter top company/business make you a new one.

the real problem will be actually matching the existing laminate.
Little about a lot and a lot about a little.
