  • Adding a line....

Neighbor has an issue. They want to add a small wall furnace. Existing situation is: 1/2" line from propane to regulator. 1/2" line from regulator to ... we suspect a T in the ground ... to 3/4" iron to a small area type furnace. The other part of the T goes to a water heater and to a kitchen stove. Exactly how is a mystery to us, as much of it is either in the ground (deep) or under a cement slab. The need is for a line to a new wall furnace in a far corner of the house. We cannot rebuild what is there. So, would it be better to add a stand alone line by using a T at the regulator? That is, to leave the existing house as is without compromising it. My opinion is to add a 1/2" line from a T at the regulator and run that to the new furnace. Another option is to T off near the water heater which is far more accessible. The line to the water heater, by the way, is 3/4" iron. This is what is visible.....
