why is it that when I measure my facia I get 6 inches to the drip edge of the roof? So I fiqured I must need 7 inch. 1 inch to go under the drip edge. it seems that the facia is sold in either 6 or 8 inch. I bought some 8 inch and hand cut one inch all the way. not much fun. seems to me that the facia SHOULD go under the drip edge. I could just get the 6 inch but then ill get nothing under the drip edge and that doesn't seem like a good idea to me. any thoughts?????

I can suggest using 6 inches, it's better than cutting 8 inch in a 1 inch. There is no guaranty that you do it 100% accurately and for sure it takes a long time. Personally, I prefer to use maintenance service when I need to repair a roof, last time I used this one: Property maintenance Auckland | Commercial building maintenance services | Super City Property I'm a newbie in home repair, but if you are sufficient homeowner, of course you can do it yourself.
