  • heating pad power draw...

Is there a change in power consumption when using a heating pad on low, medium or high? Does high use more than low? My wife asked. I suspect it's the same, but want to make sure....

check the heating pad. there should be something printed on it. look for watts. divide watts by 120 to get amps. but watts is what's measured on a house meter.

I would expect low/medium to use less power than high. I know that's the way it works with things like hand held hair driers and crock pots. If you're calling for less heat it seems something has to give either using less watts or there's a built in thermostat that cuts power part of the time to maintain a lower heat setting. Either way lower temperatures would use less power.
