  • Converted 2x4 Walls to 2X6

    This was by far one of the best projects I undertook in our home. In our subfreezing (-20F temps) we just freeze in our home! In one bedroom, I stripped the poorly insulated (and moldy!) 2x4 exterior walls and built them out to 2x6 walls. This is now the nicest (and warmest) room in the house - I can't wait to tackle the other 2 bedrooms next summer! For details on this project go to http://drywallinfo.com/insulate.html.         Wondering if it was difficult to get the walls plumb, when you fastened the two inch material to the existing studs?
