  • deck drainage problems

I had a mahogany deck installed last year and the boards were obviously put too close together resulting in puddling when it rains or snows. How can I repair this? Can I use a router and run it between the boards and route out a drainage area? Any other suggestions? I would have liked to take all the boards and respace them but the screws were unable to be removed and there are too many.

    thanks for the help.

you can route them out but then you'll have to go back and seal them against rot when they're dry. Maybe drill some 3/8 inch weep holes every few feet. Apply Thompson's water seal where you drill holes.
