Sony STR-DE945 won't turn on

long story, but I think the accessory ac outlet on my stereo was overloaded.

Now it won't turn on. I did get it to turn on once and it worked fine. Now it won't turn on again. Every once in awhile three lights will turn on on the front but not the whole display and no sound.

what I have tried:
*cylcing the power
*all fuses are good (I believe I saw a bank of 2, 3, and another single one...)
*No signs of melted components or wires

what do you think? I paid under $100 for this unit a year ago, and I know it will cost at least that to take it somewhere to have fixed.

One other thing... it still makes an audible click when you plug it in and again when you unplug it. It used to make this click when you turned the unit on or off, but now it is only when you plug/unplug it.

If your set is worth $7.99 I would visit fletchersite dot com and use there great troubleshooting and repair services. They will tell you what to replace and also help you find the repair manual.
