painting formica kitchen cabinets
 
I have old formica cabinets in my kitchen, would like to update them! Can they be painted, if so HOW! HELP!

Get some ScotchBrite or use a medium to fine sandpaper and take the finish off. All you need is a 'tooth' finish. Prime and paint. It would probably help if you found a nearby Painter's Supply and talked to them about your project. They'll give you all the products you need.

If you can find the shade you want in spray aerosol cans, it would look much better than brushed on paint. If your are gonna use it for a counter top too, I would go with a two part epoxy finish. Part A and Part B - Base and Hardener.
