Anybody have any experience painting over grasscloth wallpaper? We figure this could work and create an interesting look. Any experience or suggestions welcome. Thanks, Dave

As long as the paper is firmly cemented no problem use a short nap roller

I've done it, it worked fine. Like HayZee518 suggested - use a short nap roller.
If I could only get rid of all this maintenance.

One potential problem here: if the grass cloth is attached with a water based adhesive, I would definitlely prime it first with an oil based primer, or even a shellac based like Kilz.
There is the potential for latex paint to soften the adhesive if is soaks thru the grass cloth.
