Bathroom wall/door damage
My wife put our dog in the bathroom while the carpets were being drying from a cleaning and the dog proceeded to scratch and eat through the bottom of the door molding through to the sheetrock and gnawed away at the door jam/frame. The door itself is fine but there is obvious damage to the bottom portion of the frame/molding. How much would it approximately cost to replace/repair the frame, molding and door jam as well as the sheet rock underneath. Is that a major job?

Remove the damaged casing(the part attached to the door frame but facing into the room) and baseboard by cutting the caulking between moulding and wallboard then gently prying with a thin prybar or painter's 5 in 1 tool, purchase replacement pieces from a home improvement store or millwork yard, cut and miter the new pieces, nail them in, sand, prime, caulk, paint. Fill any gouges in the jamb(frame) itself with polyester 2 part wood filler(like automotive bondo, but made for wood), sand it, and paint it. You might have $70 in materials cost, labor...who knows. Labor costs vary from region to region. Here in north Texas, $375 or so would probably be a median price for a good job.

From what you are describing it sounds to me like a simple replacement of the door trim.
Buy a piece of door moulding that is the same mould, measure and cut the 45 degree at the top and nail it into place. Once you have done that you can simply use wood putty to fill or repair any other damage "rover" did to the frame, finish with a small amount of caulking if needed then paint.
Unless the sheetrock is chewed back past what the trim covers don't worry about it.
On a scale of 1 - 10 (10 being hardest) it's a 3 with about 30 minutes in work time.
