Thumbs down lime leaching from cinder bricks

my buddy's house has a cinderbrick basement and the lime appears to be leaching from the bricks into the basement interior walls leaving a huge stain on most of the walls and the bottom near the floor is a build up . has anyone encountered this and what can be done ?

I think that you have to get the moisture away from the foundation. The lime leaches in with the moisture. There is probably standing water sitting in the soil around the foundation. Pulling the water away at the surface and the foundation bottom are your best options.
