Ceiling advice

This weekend I plan to finish up the dining room. The ceiling is acoustic ceiling tile, ugly as hell, and I'm going to replace it with beadboard panels. It's a tray ceiling - the East and West ends are angled, the North and South sides are straight. It's also just a little bit wider than 8', so I plan to put a "frame" of 1x4 around the edges, as if the ceiling were one large frame and panel cabinet door.

My question is this: how would you, if this was your job, handle the transition to the angled portion of the ceiling? Would you cut your frame angled? Put the frame up flat and put in a piece of trim? The wood will be painted if that makes a difference.

when the beadboard goes up once you reach a corner tothe angle part it may not butt right up to it. I would angle cut the furring.
