wallpaper falling off wall

Every year at this time we suffer with some wallpaper comming away from the wall i use strong paste when putting it up, i let it dry for seven days then paint it with a good quality paint, it stays put till autumn, then it starts to bubble in places then comes away from the wall, no matter what i do to stop it,( haven't tried nailing it YET) can anyone advise me thank you.

have you checked for moisture in the wall. perhaps painting it is not a good idea. the "good" paint may be trapping moisture.

why keep painting over wallpaper? the sub-wall if it is plaster is "eflourescing." what this means is that the limestone in the plaster is coming to the surface and drying out. maybe you've heard the term "hot spots." this is the efflourescence.

good tips Hayzee and I agree on both counts.

If you are really wanting to paint it you have to consider removing the wallpaper. Paint companies will not recommend painting over wallpaper. The reason is that the paint could react with the glue and poof peeling wallpaper. I would remove, prime and paint. done.
