I so need help with my stipple ceiling and plaster walls

i have an old ugly stipple ceiling, and I don't want to do regular old ugly stipple, but a different look to it? any suggestions

2nd I have two plaster walls that are buckling a bit, how can I fix that, could I put fabric or textured wall paper over top?

When it comes to textures, you have a great many choices. If you would like to put on a new texture yourself, you need to know a few things so the results you get will be satisfying.

You may need to scrape down the old stipple ceiling texture you have, and maybe even skim coat it first, before you put on new texture.
