Is there a best interior wall paint?

I'm thinking about repainting my white walls in the spring. Is there any superior interior wall paint? I painted one wall a few years back using sherwin williams pro-mar 200 egg-shel finish and it looked horrible. The paint would not even cover a pencil mark and had a consistency of fat free milk. Yet alot of pro painting companies in my area use this junk.
Thanks Dave

May I suggest that you go to a local paint shop. that sells only paint and wall covering material. they will be more knowlageble on what paints work best for your project.the big box brands are fine. but, local paint shops generaly manufacture the paint localy, they also speacialise in paints for your local area and are generaly more knowlageble about paint. another thing you want to be sure of and that is to make sure the paint you are using is mixed up well. if the paint has been sitting for a while it will seperate.TAZ

nuthing like being woken up at 12:AM to unstop some one elses toilet.

Laura is an unknown quantity at this point
We've never liked Sherwin Williams paint either, and for the same reasons you mentioned. We've always had good luck with either Home Depot paint, or Fleet Farm paint. Price is right and it covers well.
