Metal Roof Paint/Vinyl Siding Paint

Can anyone tell me the process which I must use to paint a metal roof? It is in good shape...just want to change the color. Same with the siding.Thanks!

I painted the aluminum siding on our house. I first used a pressure washer to clean any surface crud off. There's a good cleaner available for this. Then I used another product in the pressure washer that etches the paint. Preps it for the new coat. Was really impressed with it. All those products are available at the local box store. I got mine from HD.
